Job description
Reporting directly to the Head of Unit, the structural design senior engineer is technically responsible for Structural designs, their correctness and on-time delivery. The position requires thorough knowledge of (international) structural design techniques.
The main mission of the position is to perform structural analysis, layout and shop drawings. The main responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following: Structural engineering plans, design and layout Structural engineering analysis of reinforced concrete, steel and masonry structures Compilation of engineering design reports and project specifications Ensuring the production of general arrangement and reinforcement drawings Ensuring the production of steel layout plans and connection details Supervise graduate engineers Structural engineering calculations and project specifications Steel workshop-, formwork-, and reinforcement drawings for buildings and civil structuresRequirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience: Copied from: www.hotnigerianjobs.com Must hold a bachelor or higher degree in structural engineering or in a related discipline Holding a masters degree will be an added advantage Having a minimum of 7 years previous experience in structural design engineering is a condition Registration as ENGR with COREN is preferably Has a knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD and other common software in structural design Must be authorised to work in Nigeria Is a self-starter with an aptitude to problem solving and can work independently Demonstrates excellent professional interpersonal and communication skills Must be fluent in oral and written EnglishOffer
